Default well...more problems

alright fellas. if you remember a little while back my h23 started knocking. its pretty bad when i start her up here and there. shes sitting in the parking lot for about a month now. anyway, now the car wont get into gear. the clutch pedal stays on the floor....same thing apparently happened to this car when my friend had it before me. in his case, it was the master cylinder.

what do you think it is>? i need to get her driving to take her to a shop at least get one problem out of the way. im thinking about just getting another long block instead of having it re-built. not interested in a swap at the moment, i just need to drive.

in regards to the MC...if it is the culprit...anyone done this before? if so, what part(s) do i need and whats the process in the swapping them?

help me out plz.

thanks,

-m

may need to replace the master and slave cyclinders. Instead of rebuilding the motor again, just get an H22 VTEC motor to put in there

sounds like you have a bad MC. you should also check the hydraulic lines just incase there's a leak. You should get a JDM h22a longblock instead of a rebuild. I'm not sure how much they're asking for the rebuild but you can get a JDM h22a for about $1200. Well worth it. That's what I did. I just reused my tranny.

You can get the MC through Honda, not sure how much they charge though...shouldn't be too tough to install if you know what you are doing. If not get a chiltons.

Go to Oreily and get it they sell it. Thats were i got mine. Also you might want to pull the tranny and see if the flywheel bolts and clutch bolts haven't backed out any. I figured it out after i bought a MC and SC plus other things.
