I have '92 SR (si) with a JDM H22A swap.. Recently, whenever there is a sufficiant load on the motor, the whole front end of the car starts to shake..

In neutral, the motor revs smooth and normal... I started to notice this a couple days ago when going up a hill.. started to shake, and now whenever i give it gas it shakes.. as rpm increase and power with it, the shaking gets a lot worse almost to the point where I can't read the gauges anymore.

Any ideas of what this might be? My best guess is a loose engine mount?

 

how are the motor mounts?? maybe that could be the cause of the problem.

 

Yeah, thats my best guess... Hopefully that's all it is, as that would probably be the least expensive problem to fix. Any other ideas?

 

mine does this too, but only from like 20MPH to about 50MPH. it only starting doing this after i got it back together from when i flew off the road with it. i thought it was a halfass alignment that was causing it.

 

Does it make a noise?

Sounds like the mounts. How many miles do you have on them?

 

it could also be a bad cv axle, i had a similar problem and it was my inner cv axle.
