Default vtec doesnt work?

ok forget all the electrical aspects, vtec does get power, and yes the pressure switch, speedometer etc. is all working, the problem is when I first start my car (h22 civic) as long as the engine has had time to cool, vtec works fine while the car is warming up, but once the car warms all the way up, no vtec it doesnt even try to come on, it is also hardwired to my vafc so I know it works, but just not once the car is warmed all the way up? any suggestions?

here is the thing, it doesnt overheat, I drive it 300 miles every other weekend and it has ran fine untill recently and thats just vtec other than that the car has given me no trouble, and it doesn't get any hotter than it did a month ago.
