Default Upgrading grounds

Ok I am going to upgrade the grounds probably fri or saturday. How many are there exactly so I know how much wire to buy.

I believe there is:

1. Valve Cover
2. Thermo
3. Trans
4. Battery

Is that all the grounds ?

Also is there anything to remember when doing this ? 4 guage wire and some ring connectors crimped should be ok for this correct ?

Go to an auto parts store and get some already made battery cables for like $3-4 each. They have some that are badass quality and heavy duty with thick ring connectors on each end (not battery terminal connectors). I recently did mine this way.

I did: cylinder head to frame, tranny to frame, and IM to frame. Sand the sh*t out of all the connections and make sure all threads of bolts and holes are clean.

So far the only one I've done was my valve cover. I had to cut it when I put in my cam gears, so I replaced that grount. I ran some 12 gauge wire from the rear vc nut to where another ground meets the frame. Couldn't tell you if I picked up any power. If I did, it was like 1-2hp

I ended up using 8 gauge on the valve cover. But where do find ring connectors for the 1 gauge for the battery ground and trans ground ?

I replaced all of the three ground wires coming off of the valve cover with 2-gauge wires, replaced the transmission ground wire with a Tsunami 4-gauge wire, and replaced the ground coming off of the negative battery terminal with a 2-gauge and a 4-gauge Tsunami wire.

be sure not to run any new ground wires near from the ign coil...you will LOSE a bit of power if you do. the thermostat grond is the most important besides the batt imo...i used 4 gauge there and 8 gauge on the others
