Default Tranny Problem

Sup people. I don't post too often, but I've come across a problem. I drive a 5spd Prelude, and I was under my car today, and I noticed a hole in my tranny. Through the hole, I can see my flywheel and clutch. I was wondering, does the tranny fluid ever hit the clutch and flywheel? I opened the spot where you pour transmission fluid into, and some poured out, so I was wondering, is it still safe to drive on or what? Also, how much would another tranny run? Any help would be appreciated

I further investated the hole, and it looks like it might just be the casing, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't see any wetness on the tranny itself, but if someone could help me out, just so I know if I can still beable to drive my car or not

haha, you need a manual of some kind my friend, your bellhousing is not exposed to any tranny fluid, you just dont have the cover over it. It is driveable, is it a hole or are you missing the lower bellhousing cover?

Photos would be great, if that's possible. Easier to see where the hole is exactly, any hole on a tranny or motor, usually isn't too good. Worst case scenario, H22 tranny would run about $500-$600 (M2A4) or (M2Y4). You could probably find a H22 M2B4 tranny (LSD) for no more than $1,000.

Got a friend who had a hole in his accord tranny and ran with it for 2 years no problem. But make sure that nothing is rattling inside and the cheapest way is to patch it up with something if its a small hole.

I don't have any pics, cause my computer won't let me upload them, so I have to find someone who can upload some pics for me. From the looks of it, I'm hopeing it might just be the casing. I know I'm not missing a cover for the tranny. The hole is close to where the tranny and block connect
