alright just finished my h22 swap and i had to use the tps off of my accord tb, my questions is that im pretty sure that it is installed wrong or something cause i can give it full throttle and it acts like it is at 1/4, but the main problem is that sometimes vtec kicks in mint but most of the time it doesn't work at all until like a weird burst of it high up in the rpm range
my question is could the tps be causing this or could it be something else??

 

Sounds like it could be TPS or MAP. Could be other things to, but the sensors and connections are a good place to start.

 

nothing to do with the tps....

you are low on oil or your vtec solenoid is fucked.....thats why vtec waits to kick in until higher oil pressure that comes at higher rpm......

 

well im not low on oil and the solenoid is fine and vtec works sometimes perfect in first

 

im 100% that the tps is installed wrong so im hoping its causing all of that

Did you check for MIL codes yet?

 

what do you mean by the MIL codes, do you mean the check engine light?
also if you do mean the CEL i did check that, no code for tps but i kno the tps is fine i just think its installed wrong, also it was throwing the vtec pressure switch code but i think i fixed that causer when i did my swap the wires in that plug came out and i guessed which way to put them back in, the way i have it know vtec kicks in when i am first driving the car but after it wont kick in so im not sure

if anyone has a pic or knows which wires go where on the VTEC pressure switch plug please help me with that too thanks for the help
