Default timing question

on a h22a1 how can you tell where the mark to check the timing is?? I don't know exactly how to explain it...but u know when u use a timing light to check...where are you supposed to point it?? is it on the crank pulley? or what?

on the front left of the block there is a little rubber piece that looks like it pulls out. It does. There you will see the flywheel. Hook the timing gun up to plug wire #1 (far right) and aim it at the flywheel, and off you go.
