Default Throttle Cable problems

I recently removed the plate under my intake manifold to keep all ports open for v-tec to be constantly running on my JDM H22. Now i have acceleration problems and it shifts weird too. I think my throttle cable seems too long because of the change, even when iv adjusted it. Dont know what to do!

that plate isn't to keep VTEC engages all the time thats just for the IABs VTEC is controlled by a solenoid which receives a signal from your ECU to push the pin over so that you switch to the higher profile rocker arms.

why would you want VTEC always on anyway? unless you are prepping a race engine but then you would just switch to high profile cams and disable VTEC entirely.

and if you DID keep VTEC engage the whole time of course your going to have acceleration problems VTEC is meant for high rpm, having VTEC engaged before like 4K is utterly pointless and you end up losing power if your not reving your engine sky high every time you take off.

Removing the IABs is going to give you slow acceleration as well because you are stuck on the runners that make power past 3.5K(I believe is when the short runners make power)

Bahaha!!! #1 That plate has nothing to do with VTEC and #2 having VTEC on all the time is a horrible idea....you'll have no power down low.
