Default VTEC w/ Full Throttle Launch

I had a question regarding full throttle launching. I have my VTEC engagment at 4700RPMs, I was grabbing and bogging at 4500RPMs at the track so I decided to up it to 5000RPMs. The sound of the car was a lot nicer due to the using the larger lobe, but I was a little worried about launching in VTEC. I couldn't watch but I would imagine that before I launch VTEC is engaged but then when the clutch engages the RPMs drop and VTEC disengages then re-engages. (Note that my vtec engages regardless of Vehicle Speed).

Do any of you launch with VTEC actually engaged (remember most ECUs wont engage when you are under 20mph)?

Hmm, I just didn't like the thought of it engageing, disengaging, then engaging again. Also I didn't know if it was hurting anything, why did factory ECU code not let VTEC engage under 20mph?

how? can you just hook a 12v source to the vtec soleniod? i was under the impression that this would not work.

you can reverse the vtec pins and add a spacer to lock the rocker arms constantly

If you engage VTEC with a +12v source the ECU wont switch the maps.

Turned on at 2000 RPMs through the hondata on mine. Cant do a full throttle launch on the 2-step though. I get full boost on the blower and make 3 piece axles.
