Test pipe
I was wondering if anybody is running there Prelude with a test pipe, and if you are how do you like it? Does it ruin your gas milage? Does it change your exhuast sound (I have a tanabe racing cat-back, with a DC header) I live in Indiana so I am not concerned about passing a smog test. But I would really like to free up any extra horsepower.
Thanks

i do. car sounded nasty loud. But i also had no resonator.
gas mileage - i have gotten as low as 19 mpg, but now i drive slower and i get 25ish
power gains - i purchased the test pipe to get rid of my lag in the top end. i believed it was a clogged cat but it was actually clogged fuel injectors. but i can tell you now that i have gotten my resonator in (sounds SOOO much better), top end seems kinda slower.
im planning to track it sometime after my finals to see if its true or not.
see sig for dyno

imo not worth the power, i've had a test pipe on my car for 1000 miles and i believe just stick to a high flow cat or the stock cat.. not worth 2-3 HP for the consequences if caught and the smell is horrible
