Tein Flex question
That's just the way Tein's are. That's why they included the key to adjust the dampening.
What I do is turn it all the way to the left (counter-clock wise) until it gets tight and doesn't want to turn no more. But never use ever force, it should go freely. You can ruin the damper ruin the damper by using excessive force.
After that, I just turn it to the right (clock-wise) and count every click.
Hope this helps, if not contact Tein or get EFDC.

I was kinda wondering if after 16 clicks counter-clockwise starting from fully clockwise does it actually get any softer after the 16th click. If I'm correct turned fully clockwise is the stiffest setting?
I just got my SS's in a couple days ago (still in the box though) and yes, the manual says that all the way clockwise - which is the way they should be shipped - is stiffest (16 clicks). Manual says to be sure to count the clicks b/c going further than 16 in the soft direction (ccw) can damage them.

alright thanks, i read the same thing in my manual but i figured if that were to damage the coilover then it shouldnt be able to go past 16 clicks...oh well.
