tb problem..... need help!
hello people, need your help! im having trouble with my idling. before i cleaned my tb my idle is at 700-800 now after i cleaned the tb, it started to idle at 900-1000. what could be the problem? btw i didnt took it out i just sprayed some carb cleaner then used some q-tips and paper towel to wipe the grime and some i couldnt reach. thanks in advance.
Your idle is higher because you cleaned some **** and your car is getting more air than before. There's a screw on TB- turn it clockwise (unplug IAC before) as you reach proper idle and after that reset the ECU.
Please tell me you didn't do this while it was running, because if you did you leaned the car out, thats bad and your pistons will hate you. If not it will idle high for a little while, just because of the high combustabilty of the cleaner. also clean out your EGR ports.

Just adjust the screw next to the tb, like others said, i had this same issue with mine, and let the car warm up to operating temperature, and than get a flat head screwdriver and listen/look at the rpms. If that doesn't work than is most likely your IACV. I didn't disconnect mine when i adjusted it.

yes you do. if you look in a helms manual, you disconnect the iacv, adjust the idle, reset the ecu. you're good to go.
