SUCKS ASS
Wrong forum because my brother has a prelude and i have a civic, but he just re-did his engine(h23), like new pistons, port and polish, whole bunch of ****. Well it wasn't idleing right and we'd been driving it around the block for a couple of days to wear it in. Decided to leave the neighborhood, going up a hill, car dies. We pull off to the side of the road. It won't start, so we take off the valve cover, and the timing belt is broke and atleast 2 of the new valves are fuckt. So this sucks and don't know what to do now. Well, that's it. End of story.
yeah, here's what he had done.
93 Si lude, resleeved by GE, gorilla sleeves, 88mm bore, wiseco 9.0:1 pistons, crower rods, portflow P&P head, AEM cai, Greddy exhaust
aight, well have a good night, atleast my car runs.

He said it "wasn't idling right." That makes me wonder if the cam timing was way off. Bad enough that when they went to higher speed, the valves hit the pistons. What rpm did you guys go to?
Seems unlikely a brand new timing belt would break. Was the tensioner in place and working?
