Default State Ref won't Approve AEM Short Ram Intake

Getting my h22 BAR'd in my hatch. I got the AEM SRI (Part # 22-405) and it has all the stickers with the EO # and everything on it. But the state ref is saying he cant accept it because my air boost valve isn't hooked up to any part of the intake, as it should be if it were a stock intake arm. He said the E.O. only allows for the removal of the intake control solenoid but that I still need to connect the Air Boost Valve somehow.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Did I somehow get sent the wrong intake with the right part # on it? (HIGHLY doubt that). It just has one stem going out to the valve cover, but no other hole for the air boost valve to connect to. I've tried calling AEM but they havent' responded to the messages I've left. Now he says it's up to me to bring proof that I don't need the Air Boost Valve hooked up.

get the install instructions for a prelude and for your car. show the ref the part that says to take that out of the prelude, then that it doesnt come on your car.

Just get a tee and tee it into the one hooked to the valve cover. And ues I know the sizes are way different but you can buy tees with different sizes on each "prond" of the tee

that wont work. to get a BAR it must be OEM or CARB'd. no jerry rigging at all. its a pain, but its pretty cool to get it all done. then cops cant mess with you about it since its voluntarily been thoroughly inspected and certified.

yea, i had that problem when i got my accord ref, the aem sri dun have that thing, all you need to do is find the nipple metal and poke a hole in that rubber part that connect the intake to the throttle body(sorry, dont know what that call)...thats what i did...it dont have to have it own hole, btw, which station you go to?

are you referring to the IAVC? Intake Air Valve Control Solenoid? or that pipe coming out of the AEM intake itself...that's supposed to be hooked up to the valve cover?

it doesn't go to the throttle body, it goes to the valve cover.

what the?? i thought he has the problem with the air boost valve on the intake...that has nothing to do with the valve cover....that little air boost valve or starter air valve thing, is attach on the throttle body and have a little air hose run to the intake...i have that problem, but just to make sure, i'll post some pic and tell me if what im talking about is refer to your problem

that little nipple i add thru it, run to the air boost valve

yeah, that's exactly what i'm talking about. so you just added that into the black piece that connects the intake to the TB? now i gotta find an air boost valve and get a nipple for it.
