starting engine
what is considered a "long start up" when starting the engine...
im scared that i might have bad compression.. because in the mornings (when its pretty cold) it takes like 2 seconds to start up... but when its warm it starts up hella fast..
is that normal? or is something wrong..

I usually turn the key forward to the acc position, wait
for the guages to turn off and then crank it.
This gives the fuel pump a chance to prime.
Then start it.
Try that and see if it starts up any faster

the battery will always put out less current when it's cold out. get a high cranking amp battery if you're really that concerned about the cold start cranking time.

Do you park on a hill or drive around between E or a 1/4 tank? I have noticed this with my Accord...I park on like a 5 degree grade, and have noticed this affects cold starting...Also, low fuel will cause this as well...Like SKDRCR said, turn it to ACC and let the fuel pump prime...
