slushbox question...help!!!
ok..I need some help here guys....I have an 89 prelude si...I am possibly getting an JDM b21 auto tranny...so far all I can find on short notice. ok what I need to know is..whats the difference between the trannys and will the B21 auto..fit on my B21 block that was an auto as well. also my dad said there are bands or something in these tranys...the problem is I have no 2nd gear. if you put it in 2nd and give it a tiny bit of gas the car will move ever soo slightly, but if you give it more..it will just slip and motor will rev...he said that a tanny place would be able to tighten it up or somehting..can anybody comferm this? I have NOOOO expereince with a slushbox..actually I am 30 and this is my first one after owning about 20 sticks...please any help here would be great.
thanks

well the best option i see it before you go and invest all the time and money in a jdm tranny, take it to a good reputable tranny place and ask them to give you an estimate
if its cheaper for them to fix the bad band than you spending all your time on a tranny swap , then have them do the work and pay less
