bumper cover alignment
Hello all. I was wondering if any one had suggestions on how I should go about aligning my bumper. I have a 96 SI, when I bought it the previous owner had run into something and had the bumper replaced, not the bumper absorber just the cover. Who ever put the new cover on didn't do a great job. Currently it’s OK but it could be better. I tried to take it off a while back but got hung up when I could not find out how to get the headlights out to access the 2 plastic screws under each headlight. Does anyone who knows something about body work have any tips or suggestions for me. If nobody has any ideas maybe you guys could suggest a good prelude book with schematics of how everything goes together (I’ll see if Haynes makes one for the lude) that might help me out.
There are 2 adjustment bolts for the front/back bumper covers...Right under the headlights are bolts that come from the front metal bumper that you can put a nut on and screw it in tighter/looser to raise/lower the bumper....

You have a picture of this bolt? My bumper is a little off at the sides and it's been bugging me for awhile. Would like to fix it =\

Sorry I don't...but it's right under the headlight from inside the engine...
When you pull off/put on the front metal bumper, these threaded bars protrude from the back of it (the bumper) and go through a small hole in the frame....Just look under the headlight and find a threaded thing a couple inches long without a nut and put one on....Screw it on and tighten to raise your bumper...
I just found this out a while ago....

thanks guys. I'll try that. Also does anyone know of a good repair manual for the 4th gen prelude. Haynes doesn't make one. Chilton does but it says its for 96-00. This seems odd because 96 was the last year for the 4th gen right. Why would they be grouping 4th gen with 5th gen in the same book?

after you take the turn signals out, look inside. you will see bolt #31, of which there are 4 (two on each side).
then you must remove nut #38 from each side. on the passenger side, its right next to the battery tray, between the battery & the stock airbox location.
on the drivers side, its between the windshield washer fluid filler thing and the high beam bulb
