Re: short shift (KevinOhlin)
You could get a short shifter adapter and cut the shifter itself down as well. if you want directions on how to cut it down check out http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fifth-****/****.shtml

Re: short shift (KevinOhlin)
i have thought about cutting the shirter before and adding on the adapter.
i read those instructions on the cutting
i will more than likely do it cause i am sick of having it so high in the 5th gen.
just feels weak when i am driving hard when its up their.
another question what is the best headers i can buy for an h22.
i have heard dc sports but i have also heard they crack.

dc sport CC headers crack, the SS headers get too hot. i would get MUGEN if i had the money. other really good brands are Greddy, Comptech, Spoon, SMSP....they are very expensive and i am not sure if they even make it for our cars. there is something caled jet hot, you might wanna research on that. some guy sent his OEM (stock) header to the factory and when he got it back, it was so nice looking. it suppose to protect it from heat and keep the heat down. i am pretty sure you can do it to the SS header, maybe even the CC header from dc sports

Good luck on cutting the shifter down. If you screw up I can possibly give you mine since I may not need it anymore .
Maybe after I get a hatchcrap I'll come down and see you guys. Maybe we can mount a camera in the rental car and completely tear it apart on the road!! Have a good xmas if I don't hear from you this week. Later.
