Default replacing AC compressor

My uncle works at a shop and he drained my old freon out of my lines so i could replace my ac compressor myself does anyone know how many lbs of freon a 95 honda prelude takes... thanks. I know its not freon anymore but i cant remember what i had it changed to. I had it changed to the most recent kind thats all i can remember. thanks

There should be a sticker next to the right headlight that has the AC specs.

The refridgerant is R-134a

Read the sticker.

yeah the 95 comes stock with r-134a. there should be the sticker/placard on your radiator support that says "R-134a x.xlbs(x.xKG)"

also make sure that either your new compressor came pre-oiled or you add the correct amount of oil into the system or you will ruin your new compressor.

you can just pour it straight into the compressor. you gotta look up the specs for how much and what type. thing is only put in what you take out. too much oil can mess up your system. too little can mess it up too.

you should measure how much oil came out of the old compressor. sutract the volume of the old oil from 120cc (4 oz). the result is the amount of oil you should drain from the new compressor. - From service manual.

the manual didnt say how much goes in though. thats why its important to measure how much came out.

the sticker under the hood should specify what type of oil.

it take like 22 0r 23 oz of refrig. I used almost 2 cans from the store to fill mine up from empty.
