REFILLING A/C R134A 70PSI HELP?
I got a kit from walmart and i hooked it up to the low pressure line and i sprayed a little in there and the condenser finally turned on because it hasn't been in a while. so anyway i was filling it up with a/c full blast fan spinning and everything and nothing is happening the psi gauge went all the way up to 70 what is wrong?
AND
also my heater does blow out cold air at all. could it be that when i took my climate controll off the cable for the retractor isnt on correctly? can someone show me pictures of how its supposed to look for me?

If the system was full of air before then the pressure will spike way up like that. When the system is empty, you're not supposed to just charge it off bottles. It's best to hook it to a machine that will create a vacuum in the pipes first and then fill it with coolant

go to autozone or any local auto parts store that rents tools out, rent the pump and hoses (its like $300 but you get a full refund upon return) and evacuate the system...also I would recommend filling it with leak detection stuff and see if you find a leak (preventative) before you spend too much money on freon. The heater aspect, look under the dash and look for the cable (it stands out) it will be on the passenger's side near the center consol... good luck
