Default recall

Hey did any of u guys experience lower ball joint problems on ur guy's 5th gen.? My lower ball joint on the driver's side broke, and caused my axle to disconnect and broke my upper ball joint. Then, I found out that there was recall on the lower ball joint, after I got it fixed. Do I have a chance of getting reimburssed if I write to American honda, telling them about my problems.
Also, what about the recall on the starter switch? Thnx...

you should be able to get your money back from Honda, go to your local Honda dealer and ask for a reimbursment form. about the starter sw? depending on what year your Prelude is there is a recall on the igniton switch, the electrical portion. I think it's only on the 97-00 preludes.

Happen to me too. I was driving and the lower ball joint just seperated. American honda will want you to make a claim. They might try to give you problems if you didn't get it fixed at a honda dealer. If so tell them it happened on a weekend and the service was closed. Used that excuse for myself.
