i was driving my 1992 prelude down the street in 1st gear then i went to go in to second and the rpms went up to about 7800 and i pulled over bc smoke was comin in the car but it smelt like anti freeze. i popped the hood and anti-freeze was comin out from where the thermostat is.. what do you all think happened? now it overheats reall bad really quick!!! what should i do?? i have a JDM f22b dohc with i/h/e, pullies, msd wires and msd coil. PLEASE HELP
so you miss-shifted??
Im confused as to what you are trying to say.
(WARNING. DO NOT REMOVE RADIATOR CAP WHILE THE ENGINE IS HOT, YOU WILL BURN YOURSELF)
If coolant came flying out, you need to put more in. Park the car, pull the radiator cap off, start the car, put the heater on FULL BLAST, let it come to full temp with the cap off, start adding coolant, or whatever additive you are using. let all the bubbles come out before caping it off again.

yeah i miss shifted......now the car overheats like crazy and there was anti freze coming forom the thermostat housing......so should i still do what you said or somehting else?
if you are leaking coolant, and its overheating, obviously you shouldent drive it. If you cracked the thermo housing it needs to be replaced, as well as coolant needed to be added.
I had this problem with my civic. The radiator cracked at the top by the cap. So check for any cracks!! Your radiator should be aluminum but the top cover should be plastic (I think). If you find a crack, screw trying to patch it cause it could eventually burst, go to a junk yard or so and replace the plastic cover. If you have to drive anywhere, try not to drive too far or you car will overheat and seize up. Carry a bunch of water with you to refill the radiator until you get it fixed. Too much antifreeze can be bad since you are supposed to have 50/50 of H2O/Antifreeze.

Oops... I meant coolant, not antifreeze. Sorry

If your thermostat housing is the issue, I have it from my H23. Let me know if you can use it. I am in Maryland, too.

it is spraying from the hose coming from the valve cover, that hooks to the intake pipebecause it branches off to 2 hoses coolant is comin from one of the hoses does anyone have a diagram becuase it is kinda hard to explain....

Pics are good. One of those hoses goes from valve cover to intake.
Other hose goes from block to throttle body and carries coolant. Just be patient and take a look around there and you'll find either a broken hose or a loose one. just replace it with some hose from any auto parts place...
