Default Overheating Problem--please help

Hey whats up guys just reinstalled my engine after build-up and i have a coolant problem.

With radiator cap on the car will start to overheat instantly and the thermo doesnt open (lower hose not hot) and fans do not come on.

I took the cap off and installed a Fill Funnel on top of the radiator.
The car temp stays steady (only because the heat is escaping) but again the lower hose is not hot and the fans do not cycle, eventually the coolant starts to boil and i have to shut the car off. I also do not get hot air from heater inside car

I replaced the thermostat and still the same thing.

I am thinking maybe i routed some hoses wrong ?
I dont know any suggestions

First thing I would do is try the thermostat going the other way...
