problem with an intake....
so i bought in intake, now im having problems intalling it....it has a bypass...and im tryin to figure out how to make go under the engine.....but there is no hole to pass the piping though....should i cut?? any one with this problem?
intakes don't go under the engine. They go down through the hole below where your stock airbox used to be. There is a resonator that sits under there and lives inside your front bumper. I believe you have to remove the passenger side wheel well plastic to get to it. Maybe even undo the bumper. Also pics would help.
with some intakes, mostly the 3" ones, you have to widen the hole to allow the pipe to fit. and you have to cut the pipe to install the bypass valve.
if your intake is a 2 piece then you dont havta cut it. mine came 2 piece with the bypass. and i did havta widen my hole a little take a hack saw to the corners of the hole and hammer the metal down.

If it won't fit, then obviously you might have to do something to make it fit. So lets step back and look at the situation...hole too small for intake....hmmmm...Ah-ha! Make hole bigger and intake will fit!!!!!1234
