Default Performance Chips

I have noticed a nice array of chips being sold on ebay, mugen, spoon , etc. They all promise a power increase of around 6 to 8 on stock engines and 10 to 20 with only the basic mods intake, exhaust etc. This sounds great , the only questionable advance in these performance chips are the prices. There dirt cheap , im talken 15 , 20 bucks here. Now dont get me wrong ,im all about low pricess but I cant grasp the fact of a part doing so much come at such a little price. Whats your take on this situation , or has anyone here had the honer of gaining 20 hp for around 25-30 bucks from a chip?

they dont do anything but make your engine run really rich. they'll say UP TO 20 hp, so if you don't gain anything it's still literally up to 20. dont buy one

from what i have heard, all they do is give you 10% more fuel across the board and advance your timing.

everyone knows you cannot have a generic percentage increase and think you are going to gain power.

it's quite simple.

the more chips you buy, the more horsepower you get.
