Default Performance chip?

Has anyone had a performance chip installed, its not expensive, but is it worth it? Downsides?

there is no performance chip... only replacement ecus... or stand alone ecu... or a piggy back air/fuel controler...

I think he is talking about the cheap **** you see on ebay that garentees you 35+ hp.

The only performance item that I have seen that is proven to give more than 20 hp is shapped like a snail shell.

Sorry I should be more clear, I was asking about the Next Level G box performance module, they only claim around 10 extra hp.

and something called an aem ems.... or it's in a bottle and has a lot of wires and selonoids and stuff.. (NOS) hehehe...

never heard of it but it probably sucks.

domestics can have a 350 with 160 hp or the same (similar) 350 with 400 hp. this is where this whols chip thing got so popular. the s2000
comes well tuned from factory. all that those chips usuaslly do is find horsepower that is potentially there but not harnessed because the tuning from factory is watered down.

and also i dont think that you should screw aroung with the tuning on a high comp ratio car unless you know for sure whats going on.
