Default P5P ECU in a base?

Need to do some diagnostic testing, need to borrow a ECU to see if mine is messed up.

Will a P5P run a base without problems? obviously there's no ATTS but will it pretty much work?

Won't the immobilizer prevent the car from starting? I know the 97+ ECUs have immobilizers..not sure about the p72.
