Overheating HELP!!!

Default Overheating HELP!!!

I was overheating. I had a leak in my radiator. I replaced it and it is STILL overheating. My fan comes on when I shut off the engine but not while it is running. I am getting flow through my cooling system. Any suggestions?

Have you tried swapping out the Thermostat? A lot of times they will stick if you overheat the engine and will have to be replaced. Also, make sure you bleed the cooling system correctly. If you have any kind of air in there, it can give you some funky readings on the temp guage. Anyway, HTH!!!

did you bleed the system? when does it over heat??? when your driving, stay still, ac on or off.... lets not be to useless when posting a new thread.

It overheats while sitting still, driving, ac, etc. I didn't know it needed to be bled, I just have a Chiltons, It didn't bother to tell me that and I've never replaced a radiator. Would that prevent the fan from coming on?

Yeah, you've got to bleed the system after you're done doing the radiator swap. Here's a link that might help:
