Radiator fan problems
i have a 1993 honda civic ex and I am having problems with my radiator fan not kicking on, i have replaced the thermswitch, thermostat, flushed radiator, radiator cap. ok when it starts heating up almost to the red mark the fan will kick on, but when it is sitting at a normal temp it wont kick on, until it gets really hot.

Is the threrm switch the fan switch? I wouldn't necessarily say there's air in your cooling system. Usually when there's air in the system, the temp needle will rise very quickly when a load is put on the engine then will often go back down when there is no load. one way to check if there is air in the system is there should be a small nipple on one of the coolant housings on the block, Im not sure about your engine but on the b series its the housing on the block. While the engine is running, you can crack that nipple open when the engine is up to temp and see if air is coming out. If there is air in the system, it will bubble out. If there is no air, it will steadily stream out. It sounds like maybe your problem might be electrical. If you replaced the fan switch, check your wiring from the switch to the fan, also you can check the fan itself, possibly the motor might be going out, by putting power and ground to the fan motor itself. i just changed the relay, and now the only problem is the coolant when i start the car in the morning it will leak until it gets warm then it will stop, and its dripping down from the crankshaft, and i dont know were it could be coming from. And there is no smoke coming out the exhaust, and there is none in the oil. The car runs and races great until the coolant starts getting low, and i wont start to see the needle going up until i get to a stop, but then when i drive away it goes down.

Buy a genuine Honda manual! Long story short, you need to remove the timing belt to replace the water pump. Just a recommendation, if your going to keep the car/motor for a while, it would be good to replace the crank seal, cam seal, and t belt tensioner. All of these will be accessed when you remove the belt. If you're unsure about anything, have someone who knows what they are doing do the job. I don't know what the mileage or condition of motor is but t belts are usually recommended at approx 100k miles. If your water pump is leaking, you should consider replacing your t belt cuz engine fluids will deteriorate the belt over time.
