Odometer not working
I was looking at a 94 vtec prelude to buy the other day. Well when "I" started the car up the odometer was just blinking at 121,xxx miles. The guy said it just stopped working and he never worried about geting it fixed. The trip works still, so thats how he can still tell the miles. Does anyone know why the odometer would just stop working, or what to do to get it working again. And if there is a way to get it working again...is there a way to change it to the correct mileage?

in many cases.........tampering with the odometer is fraudulent. but since i don't get to buy it anymore(thanks to you theresa) you can go ahead and sell your car to buy it.
stockludeSi is my ******* of an EX. Anyway...I'm trying to sell my car to get a red 94 vtec. I just needed to know if there was a way to fix the odometer or what to do about it.
there is a rumor that the ecu has a counter on it, and that if the gauge cluster were to be plugged back in, it would automatically go to the true mileage. but don't hold me on that, thats just what i was told.
crazieaccord=lieing, immature ex, but hey. that is between us, not the whole world now isn't it?

theresa, i allready answered your question, and john, you are just pissy cuz you couldn't get the whole thing, you just settled for the heart of a prelude.
the el gauges look good, and i wouldn't mind picking some up for my car in the future. but until then. i have more important things to buy and swap.
