DOHC f22... same tq as the H23, 8 less hp, lower compression. Not a bad motor, but not my choice.

There are a few other minor differences etc. The F22b2a whatever was the motor that came in the JDM Si.

My bad. It's the other way around. Same hp, 8 less tq.

The H23 sports 160hp 156 tq... correct?

Either way, it's not super, nor sucky. I've driven a car with one that used to have the H23. I honestly couldn't tell a difference on the butt dyno.

Interesting, I never knew that.

The jdm version of the h23 yeilds .6 less compression

While the jdm version of the h22 yeilds .6 more compression...w00t

So does the f22b have iron sleeves or frm?

this is the same compression you would arive at if you took a stock 85mm bore f22xx and then put the h23 head on to it. it yeilds a 9.2 ish.. but im sure the f22b head had a different combution chamber, but probably the same pistons as in the usdm f22xx

Higher than the f22 soch 8.8:1

But not higher than the h23 9.8:1

That what I was comparing it to.

9.2:1 comp, iron sleeves, and dohc head...

hmmm, that engine would make a nice platform for boost, if the price is relatively low that is .
