Need Help! Trans problem
I am currently trying to install a 5th G (base) transmission into my 4th G (H22). I finally got the tran mounted and found some differences. It appears that the mount on the bottom of the trans where it mounts to the bracket is not linning up properly. The holes for the bolts are off by about an inch although the trans is flush with the block.
Also, there are two hoses that i had to remove from the rear of the 4th G tranny by the connector that the 5th G dosent have the hook up for. Im not really sure what the hoses go to, maybe PS or tranny fluid, not sure.
Its been a long day out in the cold, rolling around on the ground with a heavy a$$ trans, so any help from someone who has done this swap, or knows what they are talking about, would be very helpful.
Thanks much in advance.

The thing with the hoses is the VSS, use your old one and not the one from the 5th gen. Not sure about the bracket problem, it shouldn't be any different.
Cool thanks, so if I understand you correctly. Just take off the piece from the 4th g tran, then take of the piece where the contector is on the 5th g tran and it should bolt right in with no issue?
With my other issue with mounting the tran, as long as there is nothing else I need to add or change, all the holes should be lined up. I'm not sure where I went wrong. The tran is flush to the block. Any suggestions?
