Need help!!!!tensioning timing belt!!!! h23!!!!
Finally have everything lined up an TDC Belt is on but we dont think its tight enough i need a run down on how to be sure both sides of the timing belt is tensioned. Also do i need to attach the harmonic balancer belt tensioner? they both mount on the same bracket. .Need Help PLEASE!!!!

My belt definitly isnt that tight. but it didnt asnwer my question on how to tension the H23 timing belt. .

h23 what?? h23 vtec bluetop engine or the non-vtec motor? be more descriptive we cant always try to guess what you are talking about...

loosen the tensioner bolt..turn the crank bolt a few turns manually counterclockwise. tighten bolt back down. This worked for me...haven't had any issues.

Go up to the FAQs, go to the links for the factory service manuals, and download the one for your car. It has the exact factory steps on how to do the timing belt change and tensioning.
