so your igniter in the distributor fried... you replaced the whole thing?
You did not set the timing when you put the new one on???
Is there a burnt smell coming from the coil??
When you took the old Distributor off was there oil on the end of the cam??

I would guess your timing is way off... not very good for the engine.. knock knock..

 

I took the distributor back and got my money back because my mechanics said that it wasn't any good. So hopefully when I get another one, it will be good. I do think that the timing was thrown off though.
