need help, . . . !!
okay guys, this is the first winter i have with my 97 prelude. . . lately it starts getting cold(snowing) and i notice that it's kinda hard to start the engine.
it's hard to start the engine, and whenever the engine got started, it goes all the way to about 2000rpm(it's very cold here now), and then it drops to extremely low, it stalls a few times after the engine drops. and i notice that it always drops quite a bit more when i release the clutch.
so now when i start the engine, i have to give a little bit gas, wait till the engine idles at a correct speed, then release the clutch. can someone help me here? i'm not too sure what the problem is, but could that be my ignition or something else?? please help!! thanks a lot guys!!

My lude is doing the same thing...except the rev dropping you described. (I'm in Utah so its cold hear too.)
It does that to warm the motor up. Try adjusting the idle control screw on you Intake Manifold.
My car did do what you described a couple months ago, turne out to be a vacuum leak and a low battery cel...go figure.

mine sometimes does that when its really cold down here.... if it dies, i usally just wait a second and start it back, i think it just an air density problem, since the engine hasn't yet reached operating temp, therefor doesn't read any sensors, i think it gets too much air and not enough fuel which causes it to lean out and cut off
