I have a digital6 plus up for grabs.....$150.
Why do you want the 6al vs. the digital6? The 6al is old technology. Uses little pills for the rev limiter among other things. Also, you may have to buy a separate unit for your tach to work (not 100% on that).
The Digital6 wires right in in like 5 mins. It has a built in two step rev limiter and dial type adjustments on the end of the box.

Get the BlasterSS coil.
I don't think the make a rotor.....
Just ask for the wires for your car, you will have to build your coil wire......
Ask for the cap. I remember looking for one for my 5th gen, and they didnt make one at the time.....

Hope it helps...

Michael

MSD will be a waste of your time and money...unless they finally make an H-series Pro-billet distributor.

I recommend not to purchase MSD...I had a Digital6 plus go out on me 3 times and I shipped it into service twice. The Blaster SS coil is also crap, it died on me on the way home from school and went through two of the coils. MSD =

have you done the normal tune up stuff first? new ngk plugs wires and oem cap and rotor?

Ive seen 300whp+ setups using the stock ignition no problem.

/\/\Yeah, just replace it with OEM stuff.

I spent the $$$ and did my ignition like you want to and it was 90% a waste. I did Magnecor wires, Iridium plugs, Crane cap and rotor, MSD 6AL and Blaster SS coil.

Now I'll be replacing the Magnecor wires with NGK because they don't fit very well, the MSD box crapped out randomly and left me stranded and the SS coil is no better than the OEM coil.

The only thing I would actually reccomend upgrading is the distributor cap to a transparent one because it makes it a lot easier to see what's going on with your engine. That's my opinion...

Stick with the stock ignition as much as possible not unless your going over 125 shot or more. Like the others have suggested, just maintain your stock parts, 2 step colder plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Just get the MSD adjustable timing control and it will work with your stock setup, I just did one yesterday. This way, you can retard your timing whenever you want depending on weather conditions. Good luck.

im so glad this subject was covered, because I was going to blow alot of money on all MSD ignition ****. All that I run on my Turbo setup is ngk copper plugs and MSD 8.5mm wires and it still works just fine. does anyone disagree?

You should be able to use a Civic or Accord cap... Search the internet, there's lots of them.

i'm sure you will be able to unload that stuff on ebay and get a decent price. they work on a lot of different imports, not just preludes or hondas. good luck

That one is made by Mr. Gasket Performance Group

O'Reilly Auto Parts carries a transparant red MSD one as well.

Moroso also makes a transparant blue one.
