Default MSD SCI and Hotwires

I have had the MSD SCI with Blaster SS coil for awhile, now I have the NOLOGY Coil and NOLOGY Hotwires, do I really need to keep the SCI box? Some say it can hurt the wires and some say it will inhibit them, others say its just overkill, while again other say its good for boosting the wire (kinda prejuice them with the MSD SCI and then they work better.) I was thinking just keep the coil and wires and sell the SCI unit and cap with wire for external coil. Anyone have any REAL advice on this one?

I think Nology wires don't do crap, just my opinion. I'm not trying to start any crap with anybody, just stating my opinion.

Well I have to disagree, I have read many online personal views and I know alot of 4X4 guys that use them and love them, had em for over 4 years they have with no problems and better mileage and power/trq. I also like mine, but I hear that its a waste to have MSD box and them on there since they do virtually the same thing, and since I didn't feel sh$t for any extra power when I installed the SCI, that was a waste of $320 for everything to install it counting the box.

Plus, I am sponsored by NOLOGY now so it'd be stupid to keep the MSD box whenits not making a difference, I'll sell it and pass it on to someone else who may have a use for it.

Nology HotWires

BigMoose's ramblings about secondary capacitance in ignition systems

Are you making some power...300-400whp? Stock is perfectly adequate up to that area.

Nology has improved my low end torque and my mileage got alot better, so, I can't agree with anyone saying they aren't worth it. Gunna take off the MSD tomorow and see how it all pans out, I'm positive it'll not make a difference, at least not one worth the 200.00 of the MSD unit.

Just deinstalled the MSD SCI, runs just as good if not better than with it installed. Gunna leave it off now, no need for that large amount of money bolted in if the NOLOGY wires and external coil are doing just as good or better!
