Default lost motion assembly?

Do you have to pull the head, to change the lost motion assembly?

No. they can be changed without removing the head. I have done it many times.

yep. every 10kkm (7,5 kmiles). Lma are heard mostly while engine is cold (or so I was told). I saw lma after 100kmiles, they could be compressed by fingers easily. They were simply done...

also it depends if you have an older or newer h22.The older ones are simular to the ones in a b series and the newer ones can be taken out with the cams out.The older ons the rockers will have to be removed.

the "newer" 97 and up LMA's are similiar to the ITR LMA. they are not just a spring. Can you show a pic?

I believe that the 97 H22A has the spring LMA. its the later years that have inclosed, as i would say, LMA. Have to check the Helms but its outside and i don't feel like going out to look. Tomorrow for sure.

What do the ITR LMA look like. From the Helms as i can remenber the 97 have a spring with a ball looking thing on top on it, and the later years are different.
