Quick question about my Head + Cams
Ok, I recently installed S2S2 Cams, Valve Springs and Retainers. But before I installed them I had the head sent out and got it completely cleaned and resurfaced. It was milled too. Now I installed the cams and did the valve adjustment (.007 Intake and .008 Exhaust) and there is still a ticking noise from the engine. Would I have to adjust it a different way due to the milled head? Because I heard that someone severely damaged their engine because they didnt even know that their head was milled and installed the cams.

I'm not certain what valve lash specs Skunk2 recommends for those cams, but you may want to contact the company to double-check.
As for the damage in you read about, that was most likely due to valve-to-piston contact caused by insufficient clearance when combining a milled head, aggressive cams, and perhaps high-compression pistons. It almost certainly had nothing to do with the valve adjustment.

Ok, I double checked and those were the right specs.
My head is milled a bit and I do have S2S2 cams but I am running Stock SiR II Pistons (10.4:1) So do you think im in the clear?
Also, I did a little research and ive read that when you put a more agressive cam in it tends to make that ticking noise, is this so?

correct, the rocker is hitting the valve harder. a little ticking is normal
