Just some of the things that Endyn does to Preludes...
The head only gets a mild fix but the manifold receives some extensive porting. Obviously, there's a lot of power hidden away in the manifolds of Preludes. Anyone have this listed as their future mod? I'm sure it would be well worth the money.
You can't do this with Extrude Honing.

It looks even better in real life. That's Sun's head and intake manifold. The intake manifold is soon to be replaced with a Euro R one ported by Endyn as well.

No you can't do that with extrude honing. In porting you have to remove material from a specific area, in extrude honing it just removes material wherever it comes in contact with the play-doh. There is no way to control how much and where the material is removed in extrude honing.
Now if you wanted to remove the material by porting and then extrude hone it you would have a nice finish in the ports but it would probably take just as long to run it through the extrude hone process as it would to just polish it by hand after you ported it.

If someone had their head ported along with the manifolds, what kind of power gain would you see on a 5th gen Prelude with minor bolt on mods.
say a guy has i/h/e, and then does the port/polish stuff properly... is it worth a few hp or is it like 20-25hp????

not that much I don't think. More like10-15... but then again, I did mine all at once, so I couldn't tell you what gave me the most bang for buck...

You guys think Billy (71dsp) would put me up for a week or two while I got this done to my baby?

Sun got 20hp with the headwork, intake manifold work and Type-S pistons with no other tuning and still using OBD2 and a catalytic convertor. This was done with a before and after the headwork, intake manifold and pistons, no other mods were introduced.

All that I can see giving 20 Hp... also, every compression pt raised is approx 6-12 hp... so if you jump two points with re-shaped combustion chamber, mild milling of the head (which I'll never do again) and some dome top pistons, you'll see closer to 20-25 like Girlracer said...

I will fit him into the cabinets under the counter. That way, I can keep him out of my way!!
You can gain a lot of HP through headwork, but the manifold is a big restriction. I would make sure that you get the intake manifold ported as well, or you won't realize all the gains that you could have.
I still haven't received my head and block from Endyn yet. I will be sure to let you guys know how it all comes out.

I haven't seen many interesting threads here, so I haven't posted. I have checked every few days, but I have been quite busy. I am at a crossroad with my project, and I am trying to decide what to do... , so that is keeping me occupied as well!

HRC's Headwork
Pictured below is headwork from HRC's Prelude ...I'm drooling !
I had to shrink the pictures because they were huge.
I'm soooo jealous .

Re: Thanks Jacques!!! (HRC)
No problem dude . One comment though...7 LARGE?! I thought headwork and installation would be in the $2-3,000 range. Maybe I need to reread your email, but was there internal work (cams, pistons, etc.) done as well?
Oh, I AM watching the Blues tonight !

7 large was just for the headwork
6 large was labor
6 large for cams
4 large for gears
2 large for springs & retainers
that's before tuning btw...

If we're talking cash sunk into it... you don't want to start. I have you all beat. Trust me, I'm not proud of the $$$ that have been put into the Prelude.

Re: some clarification... (JG Luder)
so you spent $2300 or so to get 20 hp.
seems it would be worth more money to spend the $3500 on the JRSC and get 240 at the wheels.
