Default jumpy **** speedo

hi.. i have a 92 s lude.. with a h22a swap..

and as i was going down some road from school.. i noticed that my speedo jumps eratically from 0- 40 mph.. this usually happens when i slow down.. as i near 0.. it starts going down.. then all of a sudden it jumps to 40.. then to 0.. then to 30.. and bounces everywhere... it just started happening today.. nothing happened on the way to school.. or at least i didnt notice..

it was kind of a hot day.. not nearly as hot as others though.. but after a bit of highway driving.. it returned to normal...

any insight?

thanks

I just fixed that same problem on mine last week. Unplug you vehicle speed sensor(VSS, it's on your tranny below the throttle body), and look at the connector. Make sure there is no corrosion and that nothing is wrong with it. You may even be able to jiggle the connector and temporarily fix it.

If nothing is wrong with the connector, try a new VSS and see if that works...
