Default JDM headlights PROBLEMS!

hey guys
well my driver side headlight keeps going out. Usually if i hit it from the outside it will turn back on.
Now it totally stopped. Now it turns on but very very weak but noticeable. Also the hi beams are also on. But very low aswell, the hi beam indicator on the dash shows that its on but when i click the light switch to turn them off it gets even BRIGHTER but the indicator is gone.

So can anyone give me any ideas one time i had all 6 lights on hi/low/fog usually if the his are on the fogs are off vise versa. TIA!!! Anyone know what could be the problem. why they are all on and also the indicator is on but gets brighter when i turn it off.

looks like the connectors are not doing their work, maybe you need new ones

yea well my passenger side that works great has an h4 plug on it but the driver side has female connectors. They worked for a long time but not now. So when i have free time im going to switch the connectors from the pass to driver side. When i took the bulb out and plug it into the female connectors outside the housing it worked great. but inside the housing it didnt work well.

ANYONE know what are common cars in the junkyard with an h1 and h4 plug?

Go to a parts store and look for high wattage H4 plugs. I got mine at Advance Auto Parts. THey will work on your high and low beam. You will have one wire left over on each bulb unless you wish to attempt wiring the H4s to work as high and low beam(I do not recommend it)

UPDATE: Still 4 dim lights hi/lows are on but dim

Well i switch the only h4 plug i had which was the passenger side to driver side and it did not turn on.

Now when i took it off the fogs finally turned on and hi's would only turn on with the button.

Now i wired the red wire to the low beams and checked if the fogs would turn on and hi's aswell when they are supposed to and they did.

Now i wired the black wire to the low beams and plugged them in and the fogs turned off. Red and Black both plugged in at the same time. Now when i plugged just the black it would work fogs on and hi's only when pressed.

So i figured that when the black and red wires touched or were both connected the lights would turn off. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHY THEY ARE DOING THIS. HAS MY WIRING GONE BAD?

as of right now they are both plugged in but also my hi's are also plugged in and it is making the hi's/low's on at the same time and when i press the hi's the hi's get brighter! PLEASE HELP ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im tired of driving with the driver side light so dim and people telling me my light is out!

Wow i'm so lost. If you need H1/H4 connectors most auto-part stores have universal generic connectors you can splice in. Thats how I did mine and they were fine for years. Otherwise what I would do if i were you would be to get a voltmeter and check each connection to make sure it's A) getting the power when it should be and B) make sure it's getting enough. If you can't afford one get one from walmart on the credit card and take it back the next day.

This is odd tho, iirc it was you who helped me install my JDM headlights when I first got them and showed me the wiring. I guess that Anakin was right.
