initial timing
you should have a hole on between your tranny adn block so you can see the flywheel rotate. LOSEN (don't take them out!) the three bolts on your distributor adn turn the entire distributor from left to right until the line on your flywheel is in between the little fork. In other words take the timming light and aim it at the hole. Look carefully and you will see a line on the flywhel as it goes around on the left side. On the right there will be a fork like looking peice of metal that you should line the mrk on the flywheel up with. Good luck and get a helms, you'll love it. Also your idle should be at 700 +-50 rpm.

also if you don't jump the service connector when you do this the ecu will just correct for your "miss ajustment" . and then you will have wasted your time.
