Idle problem ... PLEASE HELP
Now in winter, when I start the cool engine in frost, my idle is about 2000rpm, but after a few seconds it goes to about 800rpm twice (for about 1sec). Then it works fine at 2000rpm again and everything is ok. When there is no frost, it doesn't make it. Plugs are ok. I have a 4G S type. What can it be?

I don't know if this is related but when I had the f22 engine in mine while I was sitting at a red light my car just bogged down grossly. It was vibrating reall bad and the ac wasn't even on.
I'm no wizz at this yet, but it sounds like maybe the cold fuel pump is trying to get fuel to the engine. My old T-bird did it really bad, always had to rev it for a couple minutes to keep it running. My new 5th gen Lude has done it to me just a couple times in really cold weather. Once, I had it start up, idle around 1500 RPMs, and then just drop down so low the engine shut off, and I had to restart---everything was fine then. I think it may be normal in those conditions, somebody prove wrong though, I'm not for sure.
when you first start the car on a cold day its supposed to rev up to about 2000 rpm. cars have been doing that for a long time. then we it warms up a little it idles down to regular idle rpm. nothing is wrong. and dont ever let anyone compare your "problem" with a ford problem chances are the ford needs a motor rebuild or to be hauled to the scrap yard, and the Honda would need a vacuum hose reconnected or possibly a sensor at the most.

I know, that 2000rpm is normal when the engine is cold. The problem is that approx. 8 seconds after start idle goes to 1000rpm for a second, then back to 2000rpm for about 3 seconds, then again to 1000rpm, then back to 2000rpm and from this point the idle stands at 2000rpm and everythig is normal. So the idle falls twice to 1000rpm after cold start and I think it should not.
ive heard of a few people with that problem but i cant remember what it was. i believe it was some sensor, my car did sorta the same thing but it was because i did a throttle body coolant bypass "trick" on it. when i fixed it back it hasnt done it since.
