Howdy and first question . .
Hi all. Joined back in 2004 but kinda lapsed as a member.
Anyway I'm back on the scene with a 1989 2L 16V DOHC 4WS Manual 5 Speed. It's a pauper spec car with no AC or Cruise control.
Retro-fitting the AC from my old car is probably a no-go but I think I could at least transfer over the Cruise Control.
The only possible issue is the loom. Does anyone know if all Preludes of this generation used the same loom ?
Is it possible all the necessary wiring for the CC is there and will simply connect to the control unit and the extra switches on the pedals when installed ?
If the car originally came without O2 sensors could I assume that the ECU will not know if I do install one ? Again, would the relevant wiring be buried somewhere in the loom ?
Would installing an ECU from a car that did have O2 sensors sort this ? I have an ECU in my old car - 4WS Si 2.0 Manual 5 Speed, would this work ?
So many questions to ask so thanks for your patience.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Anyone have any thoughts on this ? Would also like to update the rear of the '89 to the 1990, If I take the bumper, lights and boot lid off will they fit the '89 ?
Thanks

Re: Howdy and first question . .
the chassis wiring will be different, it will not have all the necessary wiring for the CC system.
to swap to the 90-91 rear end, you also need to replace the rear panel by cutting the old one out and welding the new one in.
