Evap question (searched)
Hey guys, I've got a couple questions about the evap system. First of all, I bought a 92 hatch shell after my 95 hatch got rearended and totalled. I'm swapping in my JDM GSR and as I'm going along, I get to the ECU part of the change over and ran into a snag. Which leads me to the title.
In the wiring harness plugs that plug into the ECU, there are 2 cut wires as they come out of the plugs. They are A15 (AC control) and A20 (EVAP control).

AC I could care less about, this car doesn't even have a heater, let alone AC. The question I have though is regarding the A20 evap pin. To give you an idea, the car didn't have a cansiter, or any of the attached vacuum lines. It does now because I swapped them out of my previous car. The guy said that he never got any codes when he had the car and that goes along with what I'm thinking, but I wanted to get HT's opinion.
Because the car is OBDI and teh motor is OBDI, will I not pull an evap code even with that wire cut? Also, with that wire cut am I going to have any evap issues? What the hell does evap do anyway?
Thanks ht
