How to replace the ignition rotor?
I want to replace the ignition rotor. I took off the distributor cap and a pulled on the rotor. It didn't result in it coming out. I used to replace them on old American cars and they just pulled off. I just want to check before I put more force on it to remove it.
This may help others. By leaving the cap off and advancing the engine slowly with the ignition key I found a Philips head screw holding the rotor in place.

it's best to remove the spark plugs and turn the power steering pulley counterclockwise to rotate the camshaft so you can get access to the rotor screw...if the belt isn't tight enough you just need to rotate the crank pulley
