hey wasup? i would say just go and order the msd modified distributer cap its like 29.99, and then get an external msd coil, they are like 35 bucks, a lot nicer if u ask me and you can get a rotor, and all this stuff at carparts.com rotors are like 6-11 bucks
piece of cake.. heres how to do it.
1. Take off the cap, there are 3 screws holding it.
2. Look at the rotor with your head along the firewall facing the front bumper. Do you see the screw? If not, get in your car and crank the motor over just a click and get out and see if you can see the screw holding the rotor in place. Repeat this step until you locate the screw.
3. Remove rotor screw, (BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP IT!)
4 take off rotor
5. Put new rotor in
6. Put screw back in to hold the rotor in place
7. Put the distributor cap back on
8. Tighten the cap back on with the 3 screws
9. Dont forget to put the spark plug wires back on the cap and dont forget the firing order.

Yeah, its a pretty easy job. I did it in 10min with out any experiance.
Don't forget to replace the gasket that comes with it. I forgot to the first time and had to redo it to put the gasket on. The rotor screw is on there pretty tight like Lost GSR said, just make sure to use the right screwdriver.

Becareful when taking the rotor screw off. Its very easy to strip it! It happen to me, so I needed to drill it out.

When you remove the old cap, don't unplug the wires. They need to go back in the exact same spaces on the new cap.
Once you have the new cap and rotor installed, replace the wires one by one in the exact same spot on the cap.
