Well, a couple of weeks ago I went to the drag strip, and after doing a couple of passes with some wheelhop, the car broke. I had to wait to finish my finals exams, so this weeekend a friend and I took the tranny down.

I just wanna now if it can be fixed. Tommorow I will take it to a mechanic who is a friend of mine.

next time make sure you spread the snap ring apart on top of the countershaft before you try to get it in place. the case is fucked. even if you tried to weld it the freeplay and clearances would be wrong. no sure about the diff though. i have only had a usdm tranny apart

it's ruined. hondaautomotiveparts.com has a new housing for about $230 + shipping. Don't know about the LSD. Doesn't look like a quaife. The only m2b4 lsd I've seen had the ring gear on it and it was a while ago too. but I wanna say that it is not the OEM LSD. I'll look into it and edit my post accordingly.

Well, I'm from Puerto Rico, so shipping for the housing would be pretty high. Any way my mechanic called me, he said the final gear and the one that moves it (sorry, but I speak spanish and don't know the exact word for it) are f^&k up. The way things look, I will just may go with a new tranny. I think I can get a M2F4 or A4 pretty cheap so, that's what maybe I'll do. I'll post pics of the internals of the tranny once I get it back. Thanks everyone.
