Default help on distributor!!! H22a

I did a h22 swap in my prelude and I had to use the h23 distributor and it went out so to get a new should I make sure it is for a vtec or does it not matter? Someone please help because i am wondering if that is why it went out because it couldnt handle vtec i dont know.

what year is your jdm h22a. there should be a code on the distributor itself check it out. im not sure but yest you have to get the correct one for your engine. or else it will be shorten out.

u can use either an prelude si or vtec distributor (h23 or h22) both of them would work... or u can simply just re-wire the jdm h22 distributor that came with your jdm h22 swap... it's easy.. all u have to do is re-wire it to external coil... they have instructions on preludeonline.com it shouldn't take no more than 30 minutes to do it...

lol... maybe he misunderstood wut i was sayin.. u don't have to rewire the usdm h22/23 distributors.... but i fu wanna use the jdm h22 internal coil distributor u have to rewire it to external coil.. which is very easy to do... and since u already have a jdm disty u might as well do it and save the money from buyin a new one...
